Expanding existing electrification solutions
ZQuip has developed a versatile battery concept for the construction industry, focusing on the electrification of machines, the supply of mobile energy and the absorption of peaks in energy consumption. “By combining our expertise in battery technology, energy storage and electrification with the concept developed by ZQuip, we are able to produce battery energy modules that accelerate the transition to clean energy and reduce the environmental impact of the construction industry,” said Vincent Kleintjens, CEO of Intercel.
Through the collaboration with ZQuip, Intercel is contributing to an existing line of robust battery solutions for work vehicles. “The modular energy system makes it possible to efficiently switch an entire construction site and a fleet of diesel machines to clean energy, with optimal deployment and interchangeability of the energy modules between different applications,” says Kleintjens. Intercel’s battery technology and manufacturing expertise expand the product offering for ZQuip customers, while ZQuip’s ambitious growth plans align well with the production capacity of Intercel’s new plant, which will open soon.
Construction sector accelerates its transition to clean energy
